Mock Trial Competition

Three scholarship awards will be given to high school

seniors, who compete and are determined to be the best senior advocates. The scholarship award amounts are 1st place ($700.00), 2nd place (500.00), and third place ($300.00). The top senior advocate will receive an award based on his/her rankings.

 

The student must show proof of enrollment in a college or

university. 

Young/Hall Scholarship

This scholarship is named after Jack Young, Sr. and Carsie Hall, two of the co-founders of the Magnolia Bar Association. The scholarship, in the sum of $1,000.00, is to be awarded to a second or third- year law student who is enrolled at Mississippi College School of Law or The University of Mississippi School of Law. The award is based upon the student’s academic achievement and need.

Leonard McClellan Scholarship

This scholarship, created in honor of Leonard McClellan, Esquire, is awarded to a graduating high school senior who has exhibited a strong interest in the science of jurisprudence. This one-time award of $1,000 will be given to a student who has enrolled in a college or university, has at least a 2.5 GPA, and who displays a financial need to pursue their secondary education.
